Grant Hart, drummer of Hüsker Dü, died

The drummer of the legendary punk band was barely 56 years old.


The American music website Variety learned the news from a source. Domino Records, the label which Heart his latest album, released, pressed through Twitter also all his sympathy. Itself posted Hüsker Dü a picture of Heart on his Facebook page, without a caption, but an official confirmation of the band was not there yet.

Grant Hart played drums with Hüsker Dü, a punk band that made a name in the 80’s, with fast, loud songs. Later, the group would be slower and more melodic work release. Heart, and lead singer Bob Mould were also known for their polyphonic singing.

Hüsker Dü is today widely appreciated by rock bands like Foo Fighters, Pixies, Green Day , and Therapy?, in 1995, Diane covered. General appreciation was, by quarrels within the group, never quite turned into commercial success.

Grant’s Heart was after the split of Hüsker Dü solo, giving him a small hit All of My Senses were touched, and he started the band Nova Mob, where he played guitar and sang. Heart was 56 years old.
