Grant for development of cheaper drugs
The foundation Fair Medicine will receive 2.8 million euros from the Rich to cheaper drugs.
Fair Medicine wants to in a transparent manner, produce drugs, and they are at the lowest possible costs available to patients.
The grant aims to minister Edith Schippers (public Health) help the foundation of its vision into practice. The costs for development are currently the main argument of pharmacists to often very high amounts for their drugs.
There is no insight given to whether and why these costs are actually so high. Fair Medicine wants this break, according to the ministry Thursday.
The foundation is led by professor of pediatrics Hans Büller of the Erasmus hospital in Rotterdam.
