The progressive freshman Democrat legislator says she will never apologize for the remark after receiving criticism from both sides of the aisle.

In may, Ocasio-Cortez, Tiffany Caban candidacy promoted with the argument that their story could be as a public defender, “transformative” for the office. Also, it has the idea that the recognition was a test of their influence over their own constituency.
She sat for Caban candidacy on Tuesday, pushing the high turnout as a positive for Caban and others.

Caban also received the endorsement of the Democratic socialists of America, the secured Ocasio-Cortez during their 2018 bid.
