Republican senators hold press conference in front of the impeachment of executives last day of the trial arguments.
Wyoming Republican sen John Barrasso on Friday accused Sen. Chuck Schumer, the one with the impeachment of a President Trump as a cudgel against swing-state Republican senators will continue to serve his ambition, as Senate majority leader.
Barrasso, the Chairman of the Republican Senate conference, said the democratic leader will try to squeeze senators facing difficult re-election fights in Maine, North Carolina, Arizona, and Colorado, with its relentless pressure for new witnesses and documents.
“This is about Susan Collins. This is about Thom Tillis. This is about Martha McSally. This is about Cory Gardner,” Barrasso, R-Wyoming., the GOP senators said in a hard race. “Chuck Schumer said as much. Only a part of it is about the removal of President Trump, and under his name from the ballot.”
“It’s also about Chuck Schumer trying to get a majority of the leaders of the “United States Senate, and there is no way to deny it,” he said.

If Democrats in the Senate to win again in November, Schumer, a New York Democrat, would be in line to succeed Sen. Mitch McConnell as majority leader next year.
Earlier this week, Schumer votes forced to 11 changes in a broader effort to new evidence phase are allowed in the test. Ten of the changes went along party lines with only Collins breaks from her party on a Schumer amendment to allow more time for applications.
Democrats have repeatedly argued that the public wants to see documents and witnesses, which was blocked by the White house, including the testimony of acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney and former National security adviser John Bolton. With only 47 votes in the Senate, Schumer four GOP needs to win-customer loss, the majority of the votes needed to issue subpoenas for the new information.
“Conclusion: we are on the search for the truth at a crucial moment in the American Republic,” Schumer said Friday. “It is on the shoulders of four Republican senators, which calls for together with us. We have to give the argument force. The American people, the argument strongly made, that they want the truth. Four Republican senators, the rise is only four, for the opportunity, will you do your duty, your Constitution, your country, to search for the truth?”
But Republican politicians want Trump is a quick study, to acquit, with no new witnesses, and argue about whether or not the case for the prosecution was so strong in the house, the Democrats would need no additional information.

On the third and last day of the house impeachment Manager’ to open the case, Republicans complained the Democrats, the arguments were getting repetitive and tiring, and argued that the Senate should not get called witnesses to the house.
“It’s mind was numbing,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S. C., Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Graham on Friday called Joe and Hunter Biden, who looks at the Ukraine shops-but after the removal procedure completed.
“This has to stop,” he said.
