The stand-off happened after the lawmakers held a press conference on Wednesday morning, where house Democrats are accused of a lack of transparency.

“We will try to go there, and we are going to try to find out what’s going on, on behalf of the millions of Americans who we see represented want this Congress to work for you and not obsessed with attack on a President, we believe, has done nothing to deserve impeachment,” said Gaetz.

The Republicans, who are specially called, from ship, D-Calif., who is leading the investigation.

“What Adam is trying to hide the ship?” House Minority whip Steve Scalise, R asked La. “I think that’s the question that so many people, so many of my colleagues have, so many people in the press should have.”

“Voting members of Congress denied access will be able to see what is happening behind these closed doors, where they try to continue to accuse the President of the United States with a one-sided set of rules,” Scalise is. “They call themselves the witnesses. You do not let someone else call the witnesses.”

“We are gonna go and see if we can go in,” Gaetz said at the conclusion of the press conference.

From there, about 30 house Republicans flooded the room where Laura Cooper, who oversees the Ukraine-policy of the Department of Defense, which was set to testify.

I’m on the Armed Services Cmte, but blocked by the Abbot. Asst. s SecDef ‘ testimony. This is a FARCE!” REP Bradley Byrne, R-Ala., tweeted.

Rep., Roger Marshall, R-Kan., told reporters that the ship left the room, without Marshall or other non-Committee Republicans to hear testimony.

“He didn’t have the courage to come talk to us,” said Marshall. “He Left. He just up and to the left. He has not the courage to tell us why we can’t come in the room, why he wants, this is transparent. It is the largest facade, the biggest farce I’ve ever seen in my life.”
