Apple iPhone rumor season is in full swing, but the Android faithful also have a flagship handset to look forward to: there is suddenly a bumper crop of reports about the Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

In particular, the Russian blog Rozetked claims to have gotten his hands on an actual 3 XL unit that Google is, um, misplaced. We will have to wait to see if the photos are legit; the Pixel 3 XL seems to have had a few photo shoots for the Russian sites the last time.

Google Pixel 3 Start Date

For the last two years, Google launched the Pixel phones on Oct. 4. As Android Police reports, it appears the company would do the same this year, considering the fact that it is on the hunt for Canadian influencers to switch to the Pixel 3 and appear in a video on Oct. 4.

But the latest from the international monetary fund put it on October 9 in New York, that gives Google about a month for the iPhone 9 mania to die down before it in the spotlight.

To Notch or Not to suppress?

In May, Bloomberg also reported that the Pixel 3 will be the iPhone X-shaped cut, but a bigger brother or sister will be the controversial crop. This seems to be born by makes on MySmartPrice.

The Pixel 3 should be about 145.6 by 68.2 7.9 mm, while the Pixel 3 XL is a bit of a behemoth at 158 by 76.6 7.9 mm. The display on the 3 is likely to measure 5.3 inches, while the 3 XL, would that be a 6.2-inch display.

Single-Camera Setup

It seems that Google is committing to one of the rear camera in the Pixel 3 and 3 XL. It goes against the trend in the industry, and is a bit of boasting about how powerful a lens is supposed to be, thanks to a new graphics Core chip. You can expect that the two cameras are tucked away in the notch on the front of the 3 XL, according to 9to5Google, which cites a source as saying that Google is planning to the branding of the resulting photos as “Super Selfies.”

That the back camera is 12.2 MP and the two front-facing ones 8.1 MP each, according to yet another Russian leak.

Speculation

That Russia leak also says the Pixel 3 XL has a screen resolution of 2,960 by 1440. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, has 4 gb of RAM and 64GB of storage, and a 3,430 mAh battery. It will be the first device that comes with Android Pie.

Rozetked tweeted out a video that shows wireless charging. This is no surprise given the fact XDA found evidence for the wireless charging within the Android P Developer Preview in the beginning of June.

Packed In

Packaged in a with the Pixel on which you can rely on a set of wired Pixel Peaks, a double-sided USB-C cable and power brick, USB-C-to-headphone-jack dongle and a USB OTG adapter.

However

that is based on this unboxing video and a picture of Rozetked where the sticker which is on the Pixel Peaks incorrectly spelled as Google
