Golden State Warriors write history with fifth NBA finals in a row

The Golden State Warriors have a history for the fifth year in a row the NBA finals to achieve. The band from California won Monday (local time) after extra time a little of the Portland Trail Blazers: 117-119.

By the hard-won victory at the Moda Center in Portland came to the Warriors on an unbridgeable 4-0-lead in the best-of-sevenserie of the finals in the Western Conference.

The Boston Celtics were the only other team that has ever managed to five times in a row to the NBA finals. That formation put out a record with ten consecutive finaleplekken between 1957 and 1966. The Celtics conquered in that period, nine titles.

“I hope that our performance is underestimated, or that people are passing,” said coach Steve Kerr of the Warriors. “This has not happened since the sixties. And not without reason, because it is just very, very difficult.”

Curry worth its weight in gold for Warriors

Stephen Curry was in Portland for the big man for the Warriors with 37 points, eleven assists and thirteen rebounds. Meyers Leonard showed himself with thirty points, three assists and twelve rebounds, the most productive player on the side of the Portland Trail Blazers, for the first time since 1992 the NBA finals hoped to achieve.

In the battle for the title take the Warriors against the Milwaukee Bucks or the Toronto Raptors, the Eastern Conference still compete for a place in the final.

The Warriors may for the third year in a row and for the fourth time in five years champion. The last four years went to the finals in the NBA each time between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
