The court should reconsider the dissolution of the exploitatiecontracten of the Hague band Golden Earring. That has the High Council decided.
The formation of George Kooymans, Barry Hay and Cesar Zuiderwijk, said all contracts with publishing Nanada in 2010. The musicians found that Willem van Kooten, who Nanada, too little did to the music of Golden Earring to promote.
The district court gave the band the same. But because the musicians are never seen with Van Kooten their dissatisfaction had indicated, if the termination only commence in August 2011.
Both parties went in appeal in cassation. Nanada states that the agreements with the band cannot be terminated early. The contracts run according to Nanada only seventy years after the death of the last member of the band. The band wants the dissolution of the contracts retroactively before entering. The musicians propose, however, previously have indicated that they were dissatisfied with the work of Van Kooten and his company.
The High Council has decided that the case must. The board gave both parties equal. The band would for the termination of the contracts, a good, compelling reason to have to come up with. In addition, at the end of 2015, a new law came into force. This offers authors the option agreements on muziekuitgaven to dissolve as the publisher the work has not been done to the exploitation of the songs to promote.
It is not clear when the case again now.
