Gold Rose for Early Birds
The broadcast European Dawn Chorus, where the VARA-radio program vroege vogels (Early Birds on 1 may was part of, is Tuesday night in Berlin awarded with a Golden Rose.
The program won in the category of radio-events.
In the program, an initiative of the Irish broadcaster RTE, was the awakening of the birds in the whole of Europe followed. First time in Moscow and with the sunrise in Norway, the Netherlands, England and Ireland was listened to the ochtendzang of birds. In the Netherlands were from the Mokbaai on Texel nightingales, rietzangers and large terns to hear. The birds were spotted by Early risers-reporter Rob Buiter.
The program was in the Netherlands, broadcast on may 1, from 03.00 to 07.00 hours. Then sent Early Birds between 09.00 and 10.00 hours, a compilation of the best moments of that night.
The Golden Rose (Rose d’or) is a prestigious festival for entertainment programmes.
