The national director and CEO of the Secure Community Network responds to the increase of anti-Semitic attacks in New York.
Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal attorney, fired back at Rep. Eric Swalwell, according to the California representative tweeted shortly after the attack on a rabbi-house, to help that the ex-mayor was to incite the growing anti-Semitism in the United States
Swalwell has been an outspoken critic of trump, and took to Twitter on Sunday shortly after a knife-wielding man stormed into a rabbi’s home and stabbed five people, as they celebrated Hanukkah in an Orthodox Jewish community North of New York City.
Swalwell tweeted an op-ed he wrote earlier this month, for The next line, where he warned of the increasing anti-Semitism. He wrote that Giuliani, among others, “have relentlessly attacked Jewish philanthropists, including Michael Bloomberg and George Soros.”
Giuliani has been criticized recently over comments he will be “more Jewish” than Soros, the billionaire investor.
Soros, who allegedly survived the Holocaust, has donated heavily to liberal causes, and vilified on the right side. He is also the subject of many unfounded conspiracy theories. Some have falsely accused him of a Nazi collaborator during the second world war, when he was a child in Hungary.
Giuliani said journalist Olivia Nuzzi, “Soros is hardly a Jew. I am more a Jew than Soros. I probably know more about it — he goes to Church, he goes to the religion — a synagogue. He does not belong to a synagogue, he not the support of Israel, he is an enemy of Israel. He is chosen, eight anarchists-is here in the United States. He is a horrible person.”
Jonathan Greenblatt, the Chairman of the Anti-Defamation League, said The hill, Giuliani’s comments were “incomprehensible and offensive.”
Giuliani defended himself and was quick to respond to Swalwell criticism. He pointed in its 35 years, the causes for the defense against anti-Semitism. He pointed to his pursuit of two Nazi war criminal, and his condemnation of anti-Semitism “early & often.”
“In the meantime, Swalwell, don’t have the courage to condemn, to, the anti-Semites in his own party, a fraud & a COWARD.”
In July, the house chose to condemn a resolution that passed the boycott campaign against Israel, and mainly 398-17. Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, were among the 16 Democrats who voted against the resolution. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., the only Republican vote “no”. Rep. Justin Amash, I-Me., was one of five lawmakers who voted “present.”
Giuliani does not include the name of each member by name, but Omar was bluntly tweeted against Israel, once again, that the legislature do support were of the Jewish state, because they paid for were basically in favour of this. It has been widely used as an insult, that’s based on a trope against the Jewish people, and she apologized later to “clear” themselves.

Omar, who was among a handful of the Democrats that voted against the bill Tuesday, it supports the long-held U.S. goal of a “two-state” solution, one for Israel and one for Palestine. But you said at the time that “verily, the reach of peace” means “the end to this occupation” of Israeli settlements.
