“For those of you that are so determined to come to w why my body has changed over the years, don’t you know that when I started @ 17, I was not yet diagnosed w/Hashimoto’s disease; those of you, who called me ‘too big for the industry’ were to be seen on inflammation and fluid accumulation as a result of that,” Hadid tweeted Sunday night.

“In the past few years, I’ve properly medicated to help the symptoms including that, as well as the extreme fatigue, the metabolism of problems, the body’s ability to retain heat, etc … I was also part of a holistic medical study that helped my thyroid levels are in balance,” she continued.

Hadid said they maintained the same diet and her body has changed through the years, as her health is better.” She added that the stress and constant travel have also contributed to her body change.

“I can ‘lean’ for you, to be honest, this skinny is not what I want to be, but I feel healthier and internally…am still learning and growing with my body every day, as everyone is,” she wrote.

She said: “I will not further explain how my body looks, just like everyone else, with a body that does not suit ur ‘beauty’ expectation should have. Not to judge others, but drugs are not my thing, stop putting me in that box just because you don’t understand the way my body has matured.”

Gigi Hadid walked in numerous shows, including Bottega Veneta in the weekend.

Please, if social media users and human beings in general, to learn to have more empathy for others and know that you never really know the whole story. Use your energy lift that you admire, in place of cruel to those of you not.
