German soldiers excavated from Polish mass grave
The remains of about 1,700 mostly German soldiers who died in the Second world War, have been exhumed from a mass grave in the Polish city of Torun.
The organization that the excavation does, let Friday know. The mass grave was last year discovered in construction work.
In the vicinity of the tomb was in the war in a German prison camp. After the war, were German soldiers there held. How they meet their end came in the mass grave ended up is not clear.
It is intended for the remains to identify it, and then reburied at a military cemetery in the Polish Each.
