The German he sewed himself Rammstein is under fire from Jewish groups and politicians after a video appeared in which the band is promoting their new album. They appear therein as concentratiekampgevangenen.
In the video carry the musicians in striped uniforms with nooses around their necks. “This video exceeds a limit,” said Charlotte Knobloch, a survivor of the Holocaust and former chairman of the Central Jewish Council in Germany, compared to Bild.
Felix Clein, commissioner of the government for anti-semitism, thinks that the band only want to be noticed to the sale of their music to promote. “It is a tasteless exploitation of artistic freedom.”
It is not the first time that Rammstein the controversy to look up to. The band made earlier albums with such subjects as sadomasochism, homosexuality, incest, abuse, necrofilie, pyromanie, cannibalism and sexual violence.
