A Georgia family whose son sent a balloon with a message to his father in heaven was located on Wednesday after his heart-rending letter was discovered 20 km from his home.
Suzanne Edwards told Fox 5 Atlanta social media producer Marnie Williams and her family picked up and the letter and the balloon from the backyard of a house in Monroe. Embedded in the balloon was also a picture of a smiling boy, in addition to a man and a woman deemed to be his parents.
“Father, I wish you were here so we could have fun together,” the letter read. “I wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope you say God, give me the presents. I hope you are happy in heaven. If you do, ok, tell me then. I love you, Alexander.”
“My husband walked in the door with a tear in his eyes and told me to read the note,” she said. “After I read the note, I just cried!”
“A parent of Alejandro’s karate class contacted me on Wednesday asking me if I’ve seen, the story is about my son,” said Yudy Ramirez, the mother of the boy. Ramirez told FOX 5. “It was a miracle that Suzanne’s family to find his balloon.”

According to Fox 5, Alejandro looked at his father, Carlos die in the street in Colombia when he was just four years old, on December 4, 2013.
Alejandro’s mother said he brings a balloon with a message each year on the anniversary of his death and on his birthday.
