Two young children and an adult were shot at a party Thursday night outside a home in Fulton County, Georgia, police said.

One of the children was still listed in critical condition in the beginning of the Friday morning.

Commanders on scene called those responsible “horrible,” and asked for witnesses who have information to come forward “for the sake of the victims.”

The police said that they responded to the scene at 6:50 pm, after reports of the shooting outside the house. Authorities on the scene said there were plenty of people from outside the household and the children play in a bounce house when a vehicle drove to the scene, and the people started an argument, officials said gunfire broke out and at least a dozen shots were fired, but could not immediately give information as to who was responsible or how many weapons were present.

Witnesses said a silver car fled the scene. Authorities say a lookout was placed for a silver vehicle, but can not provide a detailed description of the car.

FOX 5 News was able to confirm that a 3-year-old, a 5-year-old and an adult in their 20’s were admitted to the Southern Regional Hospital, which was placed on a temporary lock on their arrival.

The police said the 3-year and 5-year-old were later transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
