Former President George H. W. Bush spends Memorial Day weekend in Maine.
Former President George H. W. Bush was hospitalized in Maine on Sunday after he said know low blood pressure and fatigue, his spokesman.
Bush, 93, in Maine, to spend the summer at his Kennebunkport house, was the Southern Maine health care-and is there said to stay for a few days for observation, spokesman Jim McGrath.
“The former President is awake and alert, and not in any discomfort,” McGrath tweeted.

The 41st President to the hospital at the end of April was — on the day after the funeral for his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush treated and for an infection that spread to his blood. He was released earlier this month and was “happy to return home,” McGrath said.

On Saturday, Bush was also pictured meeting with veterans, for a pancake Breakfast at the American Legion Post 159. He published a number of photos from the event of him smiling on Twitter.

“Very pleased to join the veterans, including my dear friend Scowcroft Gen. Brent, the @American Legion Post 159 monthly pancake breakfast in Kennebunkport, wrote today,” Bush. “This weekend we remember and thank all who have given their lives for our great country.”

The former President arrived in Maine last week. Bush spent part of every summer in Kennebunkport since his childhood, except during his time as a Navy pilot in the second world war. Friends of the 41st President said he would be too eager to Maine, according to Barbara Bush’s death.
