Gayle King ‘s serious CBS colleagues reportedly had a lot to say about her recent hunting jaunt with the former first couple, Barack and Michelle Obama in Tahiti, and it was not positive.

“The ‘Capital J’ journalists are angry and raving mad that she’s on a yacht with the obama’s in the weekend. The old-school, people were talking about it. They would not have done that. She is an anchor of a news program that covers the White House. You are held to a different standard. It is one thing to be friendly. It is another thing to go on vacation on a yacht,” a source told us of the repercussions at CBS.

The king and the obama’s were on the billionaire David Geffen’s yacht in Tahiti with Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen and King’s bestie Oprah Winfrey.

King’s “CBS this morning” co-anchor Charlie Rose also was not happy with the excursion. “Charlie was not happy. I thought that he and Gayle have worked together, but when these things happen, it makes the show look bad,” the source said.

A spokesman for CBS said: “There is no truth. We love Gayle King. Sounds like sour grapes.”
