Gay penguins adopt egg, after trying to get out of it with a stone-visit to the zoo

A gay penguin couple at a Zoo in Berlin, have an egg once the staff saw that their efforts to get out the stones.

The two King penguins, Skipper, and Ping, however, the eggs in the last month, the German press agency (dpa) reported. The egg of a female penguin from the zoo who had not been able to nest on her eggs for a number of years in a row.

“The skipper and the Ping to their parents,” said the Zoo is in Berlin, in a tweet, translated from the German.

The Zoo staff had noticed any signs that the two penguins wanted to set an egg, and had been trying to get out of the fish, and the stones, according to the ap report. Described as an “exemplary parents” the couple have been staying close to each other, and to the protection of the eggs from the other ones.

The berlin Zoo spokesman, Maximilian Jaeger, said the dpa, it is unclear whether or not the egg is fertilized, but if it is, then it would be in 55 days for a baby penguin to come out.

The pair have become a bit of a feel for social media.

Homosexuality has been documented in a large number of different species of animals, such as Roy and Silo, the famous gay penguins at New York’s Central Park Zoo. After trying to incubate a rock, and the two male chinstrap penguins successfully hatched and raised an adopted chick.

Gay penguins have been known to steal eggs from straight birds in an effort to become “fathers,” according to The Telegraph.

Last year, two gay male swans can be taken to an animal reserve, and after the attack of an Austrian lake, in an apparent attempt to make the protection of their family. In place of an egg in the nest, which contained a colourful plastic cup, Nachrichten reports.
