The flemish minister of Culture Sven Gatz (Open VLD) makes up to 50,000 euros for Hollywood on the river Scheldt from director Robbe De Hert. The 74-year-old The Deer is struggling equally with financial problems, as it turned out the beginning of this year. The contribution from Flanders had already been provided, but that amount was on hold posted because there were problems to obtain the additional financing to get around.
“I hope that the subsidy of the Flemish government and the funds collected from the crowdfunding can make sure that Robbe De Hert documentary can finish,” says Gatz.
Previously found himself already known that on Saturday, may 13, in the arenberg theatre in Antwerp a charity evening takes place for Robbe De Hert. The organization is in the hands of director Kris Verdonck, former VUB-director Jim van Leemput and Marc Mortier, an assistant of The Deer.
