SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Country star Garth Brooks has at the end of October date for his University of Notre Dame shows that will be the first ever concert at the school football stadium.
Brooks’ publicist announced Monday that the concert would be held Oct. 20 in Notre Dame Stadium, rain or shine. Tickets go on sale Sept. 14 .
Brooks joined the former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz at a Nashville, Tennessee, news conference in July to announce the planned concert. Brooks said the date of the concert would be scheduled after the Irish completed their season schedule, and said that he can’t wait to introduce his fans to the Notre-Dame cathedral.
Brooks, known for hits like “Friends in Low Places wrapped up in a great three-year tour of last year.
