Gabrielle Union invites ‘American Gods’ star, Orlando Jones’, to ‘chat’ after the alleged fire

Gabrielle Union is looking to have a conversation with the actor, Orlando Jones, after he said that he had been fired from the show “American Gods”, which is produced by the same company behind “America’s Got Talent.”

On Saturday, Jones on, 51, posted a video on Twitter, claiming that he was fired because of the show’s new writers felt his character, it’s sending the wrong message to black America.”

“American Gods” and is based on the novel of the same name. Executives at the show’s production company, Fremantle, said in a statement to Deadline, Jones’ departure had nothing to do with race, just that his character wasn’t featured in the show’s upcoming third season.

Jones re-tweeted, this is a call out to a number of former members of the all-star cast from “America’s Got Talent,” which Fremantle has also been produced.

“Correction: I was fired in Sept 10, 2019, as @itsgabrielleu @OfficialMelB @NickCannon @heidiklum have already said, @FremantleUS has been a nightmare,” Jones said in a tweet. “They treat you like a 2nd class citizen for doing your job too well. Stay in the know. More to come.”

Among the celebrities that are in the tweet, it was a Union that “AGT” is reportedly fired following allegations of a “toxic culture” on the show. Also, she was allegedly told that her turning hairstyles were “too black” for the show, and the general public.

Union, 47, has responded on Twitter by saying, “Ohhhhhhhhhhh 👀🤔🤨 to let’s chat my friend. #StrongerTogether.”

A union recently held a “productive” discussion with the NBC network to broadcast “AGT” — and the show’s producers with regards to her leaving, and this has led to an internal investigation.

Variety broke the news of the Union on the departure of the “AGT” and, together with fellow judge Julianne Hough, and a day later, the Union’s man, Dwyane Wade claimed on Twitter that she was fired.
