Fugitive Italian after twelve years arrested in Germany
The German police last Thursday, an Italian, was arrested at the airport of Munich. The man was already twelve years sought for tax evasion and the unlawful use of 860 million dollars.
The Italian stood since 2004 at international opsporingslijst of Interpol. The arrested, who is also the Brazilian nationality, in the South American country wanted for tax evasion and the unlawful use of 860 million dollars (over 800 million euro) abroad.
The 60-year-old man was by the Us customs in Charlotte detained because his passport was in order. Where the man was on his way, is not known. The customs put the man back on the plane back to Venice. With the switch in Munich arrested the air police him.
Germany wants the Italian extradition to Brazil. The man confirmed that he was in that country to ten years in prison is convicted, but declared to him that amnesty was granted. That assertion could the German police, however, not verify.
