To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Frommer’s Guides, the tour company is giving away holidays to six military families with a little help from HomeAway.
Even though the giveaway might seem a bit unexpected, Frommer’s Guides were actually born out of the army.
“Even before my father a revolution traveling with” Europe on 5 Dollars a Day,’ he published a travel guide for his fellow soldiers,” Pauline Frommer, editorial director of Frommer’s Travel Guides and Frommers.com, said in a statement. “We want to celebrate that in the past, and the eea, the performance of military families of today.”
Arthur Frommer’s first book was “The GI’s Guide to Traveling in Europe,” which he wrote while stationed in Germany during the second world War. After the success of his first book, Frommer wrote about travel for the citizens and then started a rich.

To enter the contest, families must submit a family photo by June 2. They should also have a section on their family performance and what a holiday would mean for them. The judges will cut the contestants down to 30, and the readers will then select the six winning families of that smaller pool.
The families will win one of the six holidays to Rincon, Puerto Rico; Orlando, Florida; Sonoma, California, Verona, Italy, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; or London, England. Each winning package will consist of a five-night stay at a HomeAway holiday rental, airfare for four, and $1500 to spend on the trip.
