Frenna wants more recognition for rappers
Rapper Frenna would like the Netherlands a bit more recognition for what he and his colleagues are doing. “Ultimately, we determine what’s hip in the Netherlands, so it is.”
“In America, you will see that large businesses rappers to bind. In Ghana, they make advertising for Pepsi. Here begins to come,” said the 25-year-old rapper in interview with The Volkskrant.
Frenna think that many Dutch people do not know him because there on tv and radio is still more of other artists that are seen as ‘mainstream’. “I think it needs to grow. For the Dutch it is not always easy to find new things to accept.”
“They know that it is there, they also know that it is large and yet they can not step. People are afraid of change, I understand that, even I also want that things remain the same, you know?”, according to Frenna.
