French actress Michele Morgan (96) died
The French actress Michele Morgan is Tuesday at her home in Paris died. Morgan, who was famed for her role in The Fallen Idol from 1948, was 96 years old. She played in almost seventy films.
“The most beautiful eyes from the film world since this morning permanently closed,” said Morgan’s family in a statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Morgan experienced her breakthrough with a role in the Heart of Paris in 1937. Really known she was after Port of Shadows, which a year later was to be seen. “You have beautiful eyes, did you know that,” says her opponent Jean Gabin in the film against her. “Kiss me,” was the answer from Morgan. Morgans best-known film was The Fallen Idol, in which she was the girlfriend played a butler whose wife comes to life. The film was nominated for two Oscars.
