Free Record Shop-founder Hans Breukhoven (70) died

Entrepreneur Hans Breukhoven is Friday at the age of 70 died. He was for some time seriously ill.

His ex-wife Connie Witteman has this news to the Private confirmed. Breukhoven died in his hometown of London.

In October 2014, was at Breukhoven pancreatic cancer discovered. When he said, convinced that he has the disease would be overcome. In January 2016, reported his former business partner Juan da Silva that his cancer had spread to his liver. The chemotherapy did not result in the desired outcome.

The founder of the successful record store was in the eighties known as a partner of Witteman, who at the time worked as a singer Vanessa. With Witteman adopted Breukhoven three children. At the end of 2009 ended the marriage.

Breukhoven started in the early seventies, with a record store in Schiedam, the netherlands under the name of Free Record Shop. At the height of the platenketen, there were more than 200 branches in the Netherlands and Belgium. The company started up in 2013 bankrupt. A relaunch of the group failed.

The entrepreneur was in addition to the Free Record Shop also shares in SnowWorld. In addition, he was owner of music store FAME in amsterdam in the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. Four years ago he moved to Great Britain.

Breukhoven in addition to the three children with Witteman also have two children from other relationships.
