France picks up a 16-year-old terreurverdachte for ‘imminent’ attack
Anti-terreureenheden in the southern cities of Montpellier and Marseillan arrested Friday, four people, including a girl of 16, who are suspected of an “imminent” terrorist attack to prepare for Islamic State (IS).
The arrests are “stopped a plan in the short term, an attack to carry out on French territory,” said minister Bruno Le Roux (Internal Affairs) in a statement, writes AFP.
Politiebronnen close to the investigation told the French news agency that the four were arrested after they acetone bought. That is a highly flammable liquid, which can be used to make bombs.
