France calls on the EU rules on virtual currencies

HELSINKI (Reuters) – the French Finance Minister, Bruno Le Maire, said on Friday that the European Union should be the establishment of a common set of rules and regulations relating to virtual currencies, which are mostly regulated at the national level.

When I arrived at a meeting of EU finance ministers in Helsinki, and Le Maire, and said: “a common framework” in the digital currency, which was needed for the 28 countries of the european union, and reiterated his opposition to the development of Facebook’s Scale cryptocurrency in the european union.

He also urged the creation of a European public digital currency”, without giving further details.
