Four Italian mountaineers on Thursday to life in a ascent in the North-Italian Gressoney-Saint-Jean.

A group of five people climbed a frozen waterfall when a piece of the ice broke off and was thrown down and fell. A mountaineer who is solid ground under the feet, was injured and is in a hospital in Aosta included.

The accident was in the north-alpes region of Valle d’aosta where French is spoken. The ijswand gold as stable, but according to observers, may have the current relatively high temperatures of above 10 degrees played a role in the breaking of the ice block.
