Nicole Edelenbos is on Friday appointed as the interim managing director of NAC Breda. The 56-year-old former director of Feyenoord follows Justin Goetzee on, that in september his departure announced.
Edelenbos was between 1998 and 2000 is already responsable for finding of NAC Breda. Prior to this she was director of Feyenoord. At the Rotterdam club, she had to leave because of her relationship with then-Ajax-director Maarten Oldenhof.
Goetzee left in the NAC after technical manager Hans Smulders was dismissed. He connected his fate to Smulders, but remained in function as long as the club no successor had been found.
As at 7 January starts Edelenbos official at NAC. Goetzee acts from the 1st of February as general manager of the cycling and skating team Jumbo Visma.
“With Nicole, we get a very experienced driver inside who knows exactly how the hares in the world of football,” said supervisory board chairman Joost Gielen. “She has in her career has proven to be fast to make contact, a real connector, and the border to look for things to achieve. Also, she has a large network within the football.”

Edelenbos happy with chances in the football world
Edelenbos is happy with her new challenge in the football world. “I can’t wait to use a lot of energy to start on this interim assignment. From my past, I know that NAC is a unique club with an outspoken character and a very involved constituency.”
