For Halloween, Minnesota museum property, creepiest-pop’ competition

Just in time for Halloween, a museum in Minnesota has found a way to get you to vote for what frightens you the most and why?

It is run by its creepiest puppets on the loose, in the historic Center of Olmsted County in Rochester, has posted photos and videos of the frightening figures on social media, with voting for the most scary one.

The company is set to continue until Thursday.

The winner and runner-up will be shown on Halloween, officials said.

Dan Nowakowski, the museum’s curator, told Minnesota Public Radio that many of the figures, and the freakiness is in the eyes.

Some of the weird dolls have a movable eye lids that snap to open, you lift the dolls up. The paint has chipped off the face of the other candidate, so it kind of looks like a mummy.

Nowakowski said the figures were ” not intended to be frightening, and when they were made, but the damage caused by the use and the passage of time, they had to be creepy.
