Manchester City and Manchester United promise together to 1 million pounds (more than 1.1 million euros) to a temple for the victims of the attack Monday in the Northern English city. That both clubs announced on Thursday.
“The barbaric act of Monday night, everyone has painfully affected. Our clubs are located in the heart of our local communities. It is therefore appropriate that we have a united response to this tragedy,” said United director Ed Woodward.
“The hope of the two clubs is that our donation is a small contribution to relieve the terrible challenges that the parties face,” said City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak. “Hopefully it will be our act together to the world a symbol of the strength of the spirit of Manchester.”
During the assault at the Manchester Arena fell 22 kill and got 64 people injured. In the aftermath of it was the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund” was founded.
