Food inspection USA discovered infected veal from the Netherlands
The American food inspection USDA has a party with a dangerous bacterium infected veal from the Netherlands discovered. The meat is delivered to restaurants and shops, but as far as is known, no one became ill.
It is a vleespartij of more than seven hundred pounds. According to the USDA, is a sample of the meat tested positive for the dangerous STEC variant of the E. coli bacterium. People can therefore become seriously ill. In particular, small children and the elderly run the risk of serious complications, which can be deadly.
The bacterium was last week discovered. Later it turned out that the infected party is still bigger. The meat is sold in the states of Michigan, California, Florida and Massachusetts.
Consumers and businesses that the meat bought to be advised to bring it back to the store or to throw away.
