NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A Florida woman trying to get pregnant through artificial insemination called the police because they are afraid of the thermos she was used for the storage of sperm and dry ice might explode.
Felicia Nevins sought to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office to assist after they forget to remove a rubber O-ring of the container.
The next thing Nevins knew, the incident was all over social media. That’s because the sheriff’s office posted the details on Facebook.
Nevins told the Tampa Bay Times she was angry because the post was not removed, and Friday. Nevins was not mentioned by name, but she said that she was offended that enough information was posted for her to be identified.
The sheriff’s office defended the action, saying: it is important to the type of the security of the information that is included in the post.
