Andrew Gillum is haunted by an ongoing FBI investigation of corruption in Tallahassee, the city he has led since 2014.
Liberal Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum, fresh from his victory in the Florida gubernatorial primary, is showered with praise from the great Democratic socialists like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – all eager for a long ideological struggle in the race against the Trump-backed GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis.
But back home in Florida, Gillum, dealing with a dispute that could distract from this political war of ideas: the ongoing FBI investigation of corruption in Tallahassee, the city he has led since 2014.
Gillum has denied wrongdoing and said the FBI has not told him, he is the focus of the investigation.

But on the first day of the General election race, DeSantis had his own problems — and was forced to clarify comments he made earlier Wednesday in which he warned the voters not to “monkey this” by voting for his Democratic opponent.
