Florida treasure hunter seeks owner of mini urn that mother as

A Florida man is searching for the owner of a chain after he discovered the apparently lost treasure on a beach on the weekends using a metal detector.

Shawn Rauch told FOX13 Tampa is that while searching for a lost ring in the water off of Siesta Beach in Sarasota County, he came across a necklace with a mini-urn is attached to. The word “mother” was inscribed on the urn, which appeared to contain someone’s ashes.

“You can imagine how devastating it must be,” Rauch told the news station. “This would be the last piece of their mother that they have, and it’s gone.”

Rauch said the chain appeared new”,” leading him to believe that the necklace was lost recently.

He posted a photo of the jewelry on the social media and asked for the public’s help in finding the owner.

The treasure hunter has a habit of using his hobby owners reunite with their lost possessions. In the six years since the first using his metal detector, Rauch told WJXT-TV that he returned with as much as 30 items, including diamond engagement rings, a Rolex watch and the absence of the car keys.

But while Rauch says that he is glad to offer all kinds of lost items, the chain can be considered to be the most important.

“This is what I love doing more than anything, is able to return things and this would be the top thing that I would be able to return,” he told FOX13.
