Florida state sen. Jack Latvala came into force on Wednesday, a day after an investigation credible and to be found worthy evidence of sexual harassment, as well as allegations that he States that he offered to support legislation in exchange for sexual favors.
Latvala, a Republican who is also running for Governor, denied wrongdoing, as he drafted his letter of resignation to Florida Senate President Joe Negron.
“I have never intentionally dishonored, my family, my constituents or the Florida Senate,” Latvala wrote.
Retired judge Ronald Swanson, of the conduct of the investigation, recommended that the Senate sanction Latvala, as it began its annual session next month. But top Florida Republicans, including Gov. Rick Scott and attorney General Pam Bondi, called to withdraw Latvala, as soon as the report released Tuesday.
Swanson added that some of Latvala may have violated the acts of public corruption laws and the Florida Senate has referred the allegations to law enforcement authorities.
The investigation Latvala, 66, began after a complaint from Rachel Perrin Rogers, a top assistant Senate majority leader Wilton Simpson. Perrin Rogers accused Latvala inappropriate touching in the Capitol Elevator, in a private club, and other occasions.

She said on many occasions, Latvala would comment on her appearance by saying she looked “hot” and to speak staring at her chest, as she tried on the legislative problems with it
Other witnesses said Latvala is known, grunting, or growling sounds, encounters a woman, and a lobbyist said, she was touched in an unwanted manner three or four times.
A former lobbyist, said that Latvala would touch inappropriately, including touching the outside of her bra and panties, each time, when they were alone in the office. You said that he “indicated to her on several occasions that, if they engaged in sexual acts, or allowed to touch him, her body in a sexual way, he would support legislative items for which they are lobbying,” Swanson wrote. The woman said she tolerated the unwanted touching for two years. “I felt it was something he felt entitled to,” she said in the report.
Perrin Rogers’ lawyer, said in a press release that the report confirms that Latvala created a hostile work environment for Perrin Rogers, and they criticized him for trying to undermine Perrin Rogers during the investigation.
“Jack Latvala and his legal team have committed made, a mockery of a process that is required by law to protect the Prosecutor and the accused alike,” Tiffany, ” Cruz said. “She bullied Rachel, by the breach of their confidentiality and threatens her and her family, all in an attempt to intimidation of witnesses, and other victims forward.”
