Multiple stabbing victims were being treated at a Tallahassee, Fla., hospital on Wednesday morning, and police said a suspect is in custody in the incident, which unfolded in a field in an industrial park.
Investigators were called to the scene in Tallahassee’s northwest side at about 8:37 p.m. and immediately administered aid to a variety of people who might have been injured in a stabbing.
At least five people have been admitted to the hospital, according to the Tallahassee Democrat, which reported the incident happened at Dyke Industries, a company that provides materials for both residential and commercial buildings. One person was reported to be in serious condition, while two of the men were in good condition and the other two were in good condition.
As a woman, as a Marquitta Campbell, told the news outlet that she was on the phone with her husband, Bobby Riggins, Jr, for an interview with Dyke Industries, at around 8:30 p.m. when he told her that he had put into it.
“The next thing I know,” he said, “Baby, I’ve been stabbed five times,” she said. “‘I’ve been stabbed.'”
Campbell said that her husband called her later to tell her that he was suffering from internal bleeding, and was on his way to the surgery.
Another woman, Ellen Mospens, has said that the Democrat and her husband was not injured, but that he had texted her to say there was a “giant cross” in the business world.
