Florida agency undercover gator farm leads to 9 arrests

TALLAHASSEE, Florida. – An alligator farm, founded by Florida wildlife officials discovered illegal alligator hunting and the sale of about 10,000 illegally harvested alligator eggs.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced nine arrests Wednesday.

The body which is a fully functioning and license alligator farm where two officers lived. Sun Alligator Farm, came in contact with people illegally trading in alligator eggs and illegal hunting the reptiles.

A group of four men who was charged with various crimes after the wildlife agency said they are forged documents and the violation of egg harvesting permits. The eggs and the boy was sold to a Louisiana farm.

Four other men were accused of illegally catching crocodiles after authorities said they sold 16 live reptiles to the officers.

A ninth defendant was charged with the illegal killing or possession of an alligator and the killing of a white ibis.
