Tarek and Christina El Moussa decided to put on a brave face and continue to film “Flip or Flop” after their split, but that does not mean that it was easy.
In a new interview with “Today”, the former couple have opened up about the reason why they decided to continue to work after their 2016 collapse — and their “Flip or Flop” director, Michael Pando show how a “personal” battle was one of their worst days on the set.
“They started arguing, and it was then a matter of design. But, you know, with everything on, it was a personal and other things came up,” he recalled.
“As the director, I went back to just listening to see when they go over the line, and when they did, I jumped in and I got in the middle.”
“I just wanted to not that they continue to fight,” he added.

Tarek and Christina announced their separation in December 2016, after a fierce fight led to the police being called to their Orange County, California, home.
Although she admitted on “Today” that their relationship is not as friendly as it can be, Christina said that it’s gotten a lot better since they final their divorce in January 2018. Tarek did not agree.

“Yes, of course [there are days that I want to kill him],” she joked, while Tarek is known that to find a day where he and Christina do not want to go after each other can be more difficult to find. However, they argue that the best thing they continue with their relationship.
“We’ve been doing this a very long time. It is part of who we are and what we do. And for us, throw it all away was just not worth it,” Tarek explained.

The pair is also taking the high road when it comes to dating, with Tarek parts of his approval of Christina’s new boyfriend, Ant Anstead. He opened up more about how he feels about his ex’s new man, while speaking with and in June.
“I think he’s really a nice man, to be honest. I know he has children. I know he has a TV show,” he said of Anstead, a British TV host. “My children talk about him and I met him a few times and he seems like a very nice man.”
“I am very confident with who I am and what I have built and what I have achieved and the life I provide for my children, and I see not a single man creating a jealousy for me,” he added how he’s able to stay so amicable with his ex-wife a new man. “I believe in myself and I feel confident.”
