Flier/Van Iersel and Brouwer/Meeuwsen to win at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS beach volleyball

Manon Flier and Marleen van Iersel have Sunday, their first victory achieved in the world CHAMPIONSHIPS of beach volleyball in Vienna. The Dutch duo beat the Chinese pair Yuan Yue/Fan Wang 2-1 (22-20, 19-21 and 15-12). Also Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen won.

By the profit remain the Flier and Van Iersel in the race to reach the knock-out stages. They had their first match loss of the Canadesen Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes.

The Dutch pair placed not directly for the world cup, but was in the second instance, still allowed by a deregistration of the Russian duo Evgenia Ukolova and Anastasia Barsuk. On the basis of the European ranking went to the world cup ticket to the Flier and Van Iersel.

Beachvolleybalsters Madeleine Meppelink and Sophie van Gestel recovered by their second race win. The Kenyan duo Gaudencia Makokha/Naomie Too experienced the Dutch couple little opposition: 21-5, and 21-7.

Meppelink and Van Gestel lost Saturday in their first match at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS of the Canadian pair of Julie Gordon/Camille Saxton: 19-21 and 17-21.

The Dutch beachvolleybalsters must be the Tuesday in the last team contest against the third-placed Brazilian couple, Agatha/Duda.
