Atrial fibrillation is a condition that has been associated with an irregular heart rhythm that increases the risk of stroke, and is usually seen in people over the age of 65 years.
About 2.7 million people to 6 million people suffer from the condition in the United States, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
