First Room agrees unanimously with expansion effectively
The First Room on Tuesday unanimously approved a proposed amendment to the constitution. It is thus effectively extended to digital communication below.
In april, the Second Chamber unanimously agree to the amendment of the constitution. The proposal was then to review the First was sent, which is now unanimously agree.
The SP was during the vote, partly critical about the proposal, because the general protection of privacy of correspondence this was less strong. The group voted in spite of this fact.
In the current article 13 of the Constitution is spoken of as a phone – and telegraafgeheim. The new version will refer to a letter and secrecy of telecommunications. There are messages of, for example, WhatsApp, e-mail and sms.
The amended constitution refers no longer to a specific means of communication such as the telegraph, to prevent the article in the future irrelevant. With telecommunications being widely referred to digital messages, including also forms of communication in the future will be introduced.
