First night fireworks festival Scheveningen attracts over 85,000 visitors

With a booming fireworks display, the Netherlands vrijdagvond the 38th edition of the International fireworks festival Scheveningen kicked off. The evening attracted over 85,000 visitors, five thousand more than the first evening of the previous edition.
After the Dutch show was followed by the fireworks display from Poland. “It was a beautiful evening, there was a crowd on the leg. But everything went without incident,” said a spokeswoman for the festival.
The International fireworks festival lasts for three days, on Saturday 12 August the shows from China and France, Friday, August 18, the shows from Japan and Belgium, and on Saturday the 19th of August, close to Portugal and defending champions Spain the festival. Then the winner will be announced.
The fireworks display from a floating pontoon in the air. It is located about 275 metres from the beach, at the height of the Kurhaus. The jury viewed the fireworks display from the terrace of the famous hotel. The members of the jury consider, among others, that the show representative parts of the country.
