Filmmaker Werner Herzog gets major award

The German filmmaker Werner Herzog will be the Lifetime Achievement Award for his entire oeuvre, from the hands of the European Film Academy (EFA).

Herzog, known for his collaborations with the legendary actor Klaus kinski together (Aguirre, Wrath of God, Fitzcarraldo, Nosferatu), has a total of more than seventy feature films and documentaries made.

The EFA calls Herzogs work in a press release “impressive”.

The 76-year-old Herzog will be the prestigious award on Saturday 7 december, during the 32nd European Film Awards Ceremony in Berlin, is to receive.
