Film about the fashion house Margiela premiere in Boijmans van Beuningen
We Margiela, the documentary about the Belgian fashion house Maison Martin Margiela, experience on October 22, the world premiere at the museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
That has distributor Cinema Delicatessen Monday reported.
The documentary reconstructs the history of the fashion house. Margiela opened his own house in the late eighties, after years as an assistant of Jean-Paul Gaultier to have worked. Since 2009, designs Margiela himself no longer, and his work by his team over.
In the documentary tells the team about the creative processes and offers a glimpse into the workings of the house. This is remarkable; Margiela is known as a very closed, almost mysterious brand that is preferably in the anonymity works.
Also a co-founder Jenny Meirens is discussed; they gave interviews for the film before it last July died.
We Margiela is running from 26 October in the Dutch cinemas.
