Michal Sadílek hopes in the second half of the season again important for PSV. The young Czech was Saturday, for the first time, decisive with a goal against AZ (3-1 victory).
“It was a wonderful evening,” said Sadílek after his second match in the Premier league. “In the first half we were very sloppy and we came 1-0 behind. But luckily we were able three times to score, including one by myself. That feels fine.”
The nineteen-year-old midfielder was by PSV coach Mark van Bommel on Saturday already after 28 minutes in the field for Gastón Pereiro. Because the front-runner tactical was secured by AZ, wanted the trainer with his switch more fighting spirit in the team.
That turned out well, because PSV stronger in the contest and notched up thanks to a hit of Sadílek the sixteenth competitiezege of the season.
Shortly after peace was working as a low cross behind his standing leg into the goal. “It was a step, I did that consciously, but I also had a lot of luck”, laughed the teen.
“A small guy that is everywhere invliegt’
Technical accomplishments are not the trademark of Sadílek, especially his work ethic. “I’m not a player who is often in the sixteen. Today I was doing that, fortunately.”
The eyes of van Bommel begin to shine like Sadílek raised. “Beautiful, eh, such a small guy everywhere, invliegt,” said the former defensive midfielder at FOX Sports about his only 1.69-meter-long pupil.
“If the talk is not running, then you have to fight. Therefore, it is good that we have him there.”
The inspector played Saturday, his fourth game in the first team and was already his third yellow card. Previously he was punished in the cup match against Excelsior Maassluis (0-4 victory) and the Champions League match with Internazionale (1-1).
Sadílek think he could be even better
Earlier this month, said Van Bommel all that Sadílek because of his mentality “is an example for all the players in the PSV youth”. Last season made Van Bommel as a trainer of PSV under 19 Sadílek captain. The highest youth team picked up for the first time in 27 years the national championship.
Of that successful generation also had defender Jordan Teze and striker Cody Gakpo all speelminuten in the first team. Sadílek the trainer is grateful for the opportunity in the beginning.
“Together with Van Bommel we were last year champion,” said Sadílek, that in the season 2015/2016 by PSV was weggeplukt at the small club 1.FC Slovako from his homeland. “And he took me in the preparation first.”
“I always do my best. But I can still better than how I played. I hope that in the second half of the season.”
The middenvdler departs on 4 January, with PSV for a nine-day training camp to Qatar. The winterkampioen plays his first match after the winter break on January 20, against FC Emmen.
