Feyenoord against Ajax bad string of Classics to end

Leader Feyenoord aast Sunday afternoon in The Cockpit during the confrontation with number two Ajax at the end of a very bad series of Classics.
The Rotterdammers have in competition for eight Classics in a row did not win (three draws, five wins for Ajax). On January 29, 2012 won Feyenoord in Rotterdam for the last (4-2), thanks to a hattrick of mercenary John Guidetti. That is the only Eredivisiezege from Feyenoord to Ajax in the last twenty editions.
Last year ended the Classic in the port city in 1-1. Feyenoord came to rest on the edge by a hit of Sven van Beek, but Ajax captain Davy Klaassen made in the second half right.
Feyenoord and Ajax met each other last season in The Cockpit also in the third round of the KNVB-cup. The team of trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst pulled when the victory in the 95th minute to itself through an own goal by Joël Veltman.
In the past few years, Feyenoord lot of effort in order to keep the zero against Ajax, in the Eredivisie at the End of 24 uitduels in a row reliably. The last time that the team from Amsterdam are not managed to score in The Cockpit was on 17 november 1991. Ed de Goey defended at the time, the purpose of the Team.

Five points
The gap between leader Feyenoord and number two Ajax in the ranking of the Eredivisie, five points. The Rotterdammers won so far all nine duels.
Ajax missed in the beginning of the season only points against Roda JC (2-2) and Willem II (2-1 loss). Both matches were played in the Amsterdam Arena.
