Feyenoord again with Jones on goal against Excelsior

Brad Jones has recovered from his back injury and notched Sunday for Feyenoord in the match against Excelsior. The derby kicks-off in Rotterdam at 12.30 pm.

Jones was missing last week in the openingsduel of Feyenoord against FC Twente (2-1 win). The other goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer is a few months off due to a torn tendon in his hand.

Thus defended Justin Bijlow last week the goal. The 19-year-old keeper is against Excelsior on the bank. Feyenoord plays with the same players as against Twente.

Last year was the Team champion on the field of Excelsior, but the team of trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst lost with 3-0. A week later, picked up Feyenoord in the last match against Heracles Almelo (3-1 win) still has the title.

Exceslior coach Mitchell van der Gaag opt for the same eleven players that last week, with 1-2 of Willem II won. The contest is under the direction of arbiter Björn Kuipers.
