“I was (the suffering of) chemically-induced psychosis, and dementia. I was hallucinating on a daily basis,” she said. “It took a year after getting off that drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle, so I stopped seeing things. I would just go sit, see a random bee or a bunny.”
She said that she had an eye-opening moment in a church.
“I thought: ‘If I walk outside, and the SWAT team is there, I was right. But if they are not there, then it is the drugs making me see things, and I’m going to end up in an institution,” Fergie continued. “And if it is really on drugs, I don’t want my life to be more this way, anyway.’ I ran from the church; obviously, there was no SWAT team, it was just me in a parking lot. It was a liberating moment.”
The former Black Eyed Peas singer said the drugs were fun, until they hit rock bottom.
